Let's Be Introduced, Shall We?

Why hello there!

I'm Maizey. *waves hand* I'm sure you're someone special, so hey there random special person! As my blog title suggests, I'm a total Seattle girl, but I don't live in Seattle any longer *sigh*. I'm a desert girl now, ha, still trying to embrace that one. Could be awhile. There's this big long story why we moved here, then, there's this short story. I'll tell you the short one first, and, when I've gathered my words, I'll tell you the long one.

The short one: my dad's job brought us over here. You didn't expect it to be that short, did you? Well, it was, kinda. I've lived all over the place, well kinda. I was born in WA, I moved when I was about three or so to Minnesota, and then to Wisconsin, then back to Minnesota. We were in Minnesota for about 7 years, which is the longest we've ever lived in one spot. Then we went home. Gosh, those were some of the best and hardest years of my life. We lived in WA for about 5 years, but we lived in three different houses. My dad lost his job. So we moved to Massachusetts (No, I didn't spell it right on the first try), where we moved twice. Since I was like 10 or so, we've moved every year.

What else would you like to know? I mean, I already know so much about me, but you? You probably don't. But that's ok, we'll keep getting to know each other. You'll get to know me anyway.

I'm 17 now and I'm in my second to last year of high school. I never believed my parents when they said that time would fly, but I do now. I'm one of those 'weird' people who likes school, in fact, I love my school. Everything about it. Except for the online part. But even that's great.

Maybe you glanced over the part about online school, but I highly doubt it. Confession time: I'm homeschooled. Now, let's get some things sorted out before you begin your overused assumptions. I do have friends, quite a lot of friends. I am shy, but that's just me. Once you get to know me, I'm not quite so guarded. I don't wear my pajamas all the time. (But sometimes I do. Like Nacho and his stretchy pants.) I'm really not socially awkward. Ok, maybe that part's true.

Why did I decide to start blogging? Well, so many of my friends have blogs and I have so much time on my hands. I'm always thinking about things, and this is a fabulous chance to write about all my musings, so that in a few years I can go back and laugh merrily at myself.

Beware, this blog will not have much rhyme or reason. One moment I may be humorous as Nacho, the next I may be dark as Javier. I will write seriously, I will write humorously, I will write about all sorts of things. Really, all sorts of things. And now that I live in a different country, be prepared for a little taste of the Middle East.

This is just a short little introduction, one I know I'll wish I had written thousands of different ways, but nonetheless I shall press the button of doom known as 'publish' and it shall all be over.
